A slender stream moves between pale slopes and exposed layers of earth. Stone, sand, moss, and roots form a natural relief in which every irregular surface carries a trace of time and gradual transformation. The idea for this painting began with a photograph Anna took during one of her adventures while travelling through different places and countries. Her attention was drawn to the way water creates its own path through the land — almost unnoticed, yet continually reshaping the surface. The Land Remembers Rain is a reflection on the traces left by natural forces and the quiet memory of the earth that continues to hold every movement.
